February 2026 Newsletter

Long Lunch Photos
Over 50 representatives from Youth Tourism NSW’s members had a great time on 12 February 2026, networking over a long lunch at Taphouse Sydney – our valued venue sponsor. There were lots of connections between industry colleagues, and some lucky ladies and lads who lunch won some amazing prizes! Shout out to our generous raffle sponsors, including WanderBuddies and The Island, Salty’s Bondi, Scary Canary, Summer House and Summer Travel, Spaceships, Nomads, Treehouse Byron Bay – and BridgeClimb for the lucky door prize. Can you spot yourself in the pictures here?
Industry events calendar
To help you plan out the year, we’ve pulled together a handy calendar of major tourism industry events both in Australia and overseas that might be of interest. Coming up soon is the Destination Australia Conference in Melbourne on 19 March 2026, followed by Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE) in Adelaide from 10-14 May 2026. Check out the full calendar here.
Workinitiatives FREE Jobs & Skills Platform

As a benefit for YTNSW members, Workinitiatives is offering a FREE Jobs & Skills platform – plus 20% revenue share, as people visiting or travelling around Australia don’t just need accommodation; they may need work, want to learn or contribute to the community. And they’re actively seeking jobs, visa guidance and upskilling opportunities while they travel. So, we have partnered with our valued member Workinitiatives to offer all YTNSW members a fully customised, co-branded Jobs & Skills platform, embedded into your website at no cost.
What It Provides
The platform enables travellers to:
- Search local and regional jobs
- Understand work rights and migration pathways
- Explore employer sponsorship opportunities
- Access training and upskilling programs
Ideal for accommodation providers, tour operators and training organisations, this can become a valuable service that supports longer stays and stronger workforce participation.
A Revenue Opportunity
Members will also receive 20% of listing fees from local employers who post jobs on their platform.
There are:
- No setup costs
- No technology fees
- No maintenance costs
This initiative strengthens the youth tourism ecosystem, supports local employers, and creates a new revenue stream for members, all without capital investment.
Members interested in launching their custom platform are invited to set up a meeting with Workinitiatives Partnerships Manager Rebecca@workinitiatives.com.au
Together, we can help youth travellers live, work and learn in Australia while strengthening our local communities.
Thanks to all our members for your ongoing support of the youth tourism industry in New South Wales & the ACT. We would also like to give a special thanks to Allsopp Bunting Insurance for their ongoing support of YTNSW and the industry, and to Taphouse Sydney – our venue sponsor.
