Adventure Tourism Awards winners
Massive congratulations to Adventure Queensland for putting on the Australia & New Zealand Adventure Tourism Awards, and a Youth Tourism Conference preceding this on 7 November 2024. It was great to see the industry get together again to celebrate our successes – bravo to all the finalists and winners; check them out here.
BYTAP update
Congratulations to Peta Zietsch on being elected Chairperson of the Backpacker & Youth Tourism Advisory Panel (BYTAP). And enormous appreciation to outgoing Chairperson Wendi Aylward for her tireless advocacy for the industry in the role, for which in no small part she was recognised as the Industry Legend of the Year 2024 at the recent Adventure Tourism Awards. Welcome too, to new members on the Panel, Alex Hill (representative from Youth Tourism Victoria), Adam Ogle and David ‘Thommo’ Thomson. Immense thanks go to the Panel for volunteering for the greater good of the industry. YTNSW is proud to support BYTAP – read their Annual Report 2023-24 here.
