YTNSW Xmas party 27 Nov 2025

Get ready to jingle and mingle!
The YTNSW 2025 Christmas Party is happening on Thursday 27 November! Join us for a night of festive fun, great company, and plenty of Christmas cheer as we wrap up the year. Network, catch up with industry mates, and toast to the season – it’s going to be a cracker! Celebrate in style at Level 2, ivy. Festivities kick off at 6pm when you’re greeted with a welcome drink and nibbles. Then kick on at the after-party at ivy Thursdays – book now here ($30 members, $40 non-members).

DNSW x YTNSW Youth Tourism Showcase

It was speed-dating on steroids at the Destination NSW (DNSW) Youth Tourism Showcase on 22 October 2025. Youth tourism operators had the chance to connect face-to-face with a lineup of destination marketing experts from across DNSW’s many divisions. From transport and tour experiences to hostels, adventure packages, and Working Holiday Maker packages – our industry’s varied offerings and passion for customers’ experiences were on full display.  Shoutout to the team at DNSW for pulling together the event, and to all the YTNSW members who participated. And cheers to YHA for topping it off with drinks at their stunning Sydney Harbour rooftop bar! 

DNSW Visitor Economy Strategy 2035

Destination NSW recently hosted an industry forum with their new CEO, Karen Jones, to explore how we can all work together to bring the Visitor Economy Strategy 2035 to life. YTNSW’s Secretary & Treasurer, James Oliver, was there representing youth tourism and reports back with some updates:
– Some new advisory committees are in the works including one focused on accommodation and another on jobs – giving YTNSW members a channel to share insights and feedback.
– DNSW is also prioritising experience-led tourism, with a strong focus on nature-based and culture/Aboriginal tourism – areas that align well with the youth tourism sector. Want to dive deeper? Check out the 2035 Strategy here.
